We simply cannot say enough about Kimberly and Jason’s wedding at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu, CA.

On their first date, Jason “nonchalantly” awaited Kimberly but as is the case when you try to act cool, they ended up making eye contact, awkwardly saying hello, and began their date. Jason, in his vows, said that that was their first and last awkward moment they’d ever have together. They are the type of couple that just works well together, you see them, and it just makes sense. They love each other so deeply and genuinely that it made our jobs so easy. We didn’t have to force anything or direct them much. We just let them be and their chemistry did the rest.

The morning of the wedding was filled with so much joy and laughter. Kimberly, her bridesmaids, and her family were there, all taking part in this momentous occasion. Jason and his groomsmen were across the way, laughing, joking, and having their own fun.

Filming at Calamigos Ranch was such a treat. Backdropping their ceremony was a natural stone waterfall and it was absolutely stunning. The natural beauty of the place made us feel like we were hidden away in our own little universe. The ornate chandelier hanging from the massive oak tree gave it such a romantic, fairyland vibe. Kimberly and Jason could not have picked a better place to get married.

All of the speeches at the reception were so funny, moving, and personal. They were some of the most special speeches and toasts we have ever had the privilege of capturing. We really felt all of the love from their family and friends that day. This wedding felt like a labor of love from everyone around them. It’s not very often that weddings go off without a hitch but with Kimberly and Jason’s, it just felt perfect. Everything was seamless.

We don’t often get to work with couples like Kimberly and Jason but when we do, we cherish and savor every moment. It was truly an honor and delight to capture their wedding day! We hope that through their short film, you get to see why we love them and this day so much!
