Orange County is one of the most sought-after wedding destinations in Southern California, offering a stunning mix of Pacific Ocean coastline, lush gardens, and luxury estates. From the artist-colony charm of Laguna Beach to the yacht-harbor elegance of Newport Beach and the Spanish mission beauty of San Juan Capistrano, the region delivers an extraordinary range of ceremony and reception settings within a compact stretch of coast.
The mild Mediterranean climate means year-round wedding potential, though the peak season runs May through October when golden-hour light paints the bluffs in amber and the offshore breezes keep summer evenings comfortable. Couples who choose Orange County often value a combination of natural beauty and world-class hospitality — the kind of setting where a cinematic wedding film can truly shine.
Film House Weddings has spent over a decade filming at venues across Orange County and Southern California. We know the light at every hour, the flow of every venue, and the moments that matter most. Whether your celebration is an intimate cliffside ceremony or a grand ballroom affair, we bring the same obsessive attention to craft and storytelling.

Orange County Wedding Tips
Best Months to Marry
May through October offers the most reliable weather and golden-hour light. September and October are especially cinematic — warm days, dramatic sunsets, and thinner crowds at coastal venues.
Golden Hour on the Coast
OC's west-facing coastline delivers spectacular golden-hour light for ceremonies and portraits. Plan your timeline to capture the hour before sunset — your film will thank you.
Venue Permits & Noise
Many coastal venues in Laguna Beach, Dana Point, and Newport require city event permits and have noise curfews (often 10 PM). Confirm with your venue early so your reception timeline accounts for it.
Getting Around on the Day
PCH traffic on summer Saturdays peaks between 2–5 PM. Build buffer time into your transportation plan, especially for coastal venue hops between getting-ready locations and the ceremony site.

Orange County Wedding Videography FAQ
How much does a luxury wedding videographer cost in Orange County?
Every Film House Weddings package is custom built for the couple, the venue, and the wedding day — we do not publish flat pricing because no two luxury weddings are the same. Pricing scales with coverage hours, team size, deliverables, and travel. Reach out through our Connect page and we will build a proposal tailored to your wedding.
Do you travel for weddings outside Orange County?
Yes. Film House Weddings is based in Orange County, California and Portland, Oregon. We film weddings throughout Southern California, the Pacific Northwest, and destinations worldwide. Travel fees may apply for locations outside of our home markets.
How far in advance should we book our Orange County wedding videographer?
We recommend booking 9 to 18 months in advance for peak season dates (May through October). Orange County is one of the most popular luxury wedding markets in the country, and our calendar fills quickly. That said, we occasionally have last-minute availability — reach out and we will let you know.
What is included in a wedding film package?
We build a custom package for every couple based on your vision and your wedding day. Typically, every client receives a 5 to 7 minute cinematic wedding film and a reel. Our team works directly with your planner and photographer to ensure seamless coverage from getting ready through the last dance.
Do you work with our photographer and wedding planner?
Absolutely. Coordination with your vendor team is a core part of our process. We work directly with your planner and photographer before and during the wedding day to make sure everyone is in sync and no moment is missed.
Which Orange County venues have you filmed at?
We have filmed at venues throughout Orange County and Southern California. If your venue is somewhere we have not been before, we scout light, timing, and flow ahead of your wedding day so nothing is left to chance.
Do you offer drone and aerial wedding videography?
Yes. Drone coverage is available as an add-on for Orange County weddings. Drone usage is coordinated ahead of time with your venue, planner, and local airspace rules to make sure everything is cleared for your wedding day.
How long until we receive our wedding film?
Delivery timelines are discussed during the proposal stage and depend on the season and edit scope. Expedited delivery is available if you need your film sooner — let us know during the booking conversation and we will build a timeline that works for you. Final films are delivered digitally via a private link.
Do you provide raw footage?
Raw footage is available on request as an add-on. Most couples do not request it — our edited cinematic film, reel, and optional full ceremony and speeches edit capture everything that matters. If raw footage is important to you, let us know during the proposal conversation and we will include it in your custom package.
Will you provide a second shooter or videographer?
Our standard Orange County package is filmed by a two-person team — one cinematographer with each partner during getting ready, then full coverage for the ceremony, portraits, and reception. If you want to add additional shooters for a larger wedding or a multi-location day, that is available as an add-on and confirmed during the proposal stage.
