Gabby and Eddie’s wedding in Gresham, OR could be summed up in one phrase: “labor of love”.

The most memorable thing about Gabby and Eddie’s wedding was that Gabby’s parents BUILT a deck off of their house for the sweetheart’s table at the reception! They did such an amazing job with that deck, we couldn’t even believe that it was an add-on just for the wedding. We really saw the amount of love her family had for them through that act of service.

Gabby got ready at her parents’ house which had a modern, minimalist vibe, making it perfect for her getting ready shots. Those vibes created such a nice, clean backdrop so as to not distract or pull focus from her. The whole morning the lighting was perfect, everything felt so light and airy and really complimented her details: dress, hair and makeup, veil, and the like. She looked like she could have been a Disney princess.

They had their first look outside her parents’ house on the pathway from the house to the backyard and it was so sweet. He was so stunned and in awe of her and just kept telling her, “You are so beautiful. Gabby, you are so beautiful.” It was such an endearing moment. They looked so happy finally being able to see and embrace each other. Both of their faces lit up ten times more than before once they were able to hold each other.

We drove to McMenamins Edgefield for their creative session and every shot was gold. With the lighting and the contrast between the dark vine-covered building and their light color scheme, everything came together perfectly. They also read their vows to each other there and what a beautiful, intimate moment we were able to capture for them.

The ceremony was at the Ukrainian Bible Church with their reception back at Gabby’s parents’ house. There was so much pride and joy at that reception toward the couple. Both Gabby and Eddie serenaded each other which left everyone misty-eyed. We stole them for some sunset footage in the field across from the house and we are so glad we did!

We loved filming Gabby and Eddie’s wedding! We hope their short film shows just how magical this day was.
