Filming Victoria and Ruben’s wedding in Battleground, WA was such a unique experience. First off, they had their wedding at Victoria’s childhood home. Between their driveway and front yard, they were able to transform her home into a beautiful and timeless wedding venue. Second, the way their two families rallied around them to make their wedding dreams come true was so endearing. It was the epitome of “it takes a village.”
Every groom always says that they feel like they won the lottery with their bride but with Ruben, and the way he talked about her and looked at her, we knew that he really, truly, deeply meant that. He was completely head over heels in love with Victoria and he did everything he could to make sure she was happy.
Their first look was at Victoria’s friend’s house, where she also got ready that morning, and it was so full of joy, excitement, and giddiness. They were like kids waiting to open presents on Christmas morning. One very special thing to note was that they saved their first kiss of the day for their ceremony. After their first look, they headed over to Monet Vineyards in Brush Prairie, WA for their creative session. Per usual, all the footage from Monet Vineyards was absolutely amazing!
Their ceremony and reception were so elegant and classy, nothing too over-the-top but just enough flair and romance to make it dreamy. Behind their sweetheart’s table, was this massive willow tree that created the perfect backdrop. They also created a light string tunnel which the guest sat under during the reception giving the perfect mood lighting after the sunset. Victoria and Roman’s families did such an amazing job and utilized the natural beauty around the house in such a smart way. Not to mention, the catering company they used for the reception absolutely crushed it! Each dish looked so appetizing and tasted even better than it looked.
What an absolute joy it was to film Victoria and Ruben’s special day. We hope that through their short film, you get to see just how much love surged through that wedding!
