Natasha and Dima’s wedding in West Linn, OR was a joy to capture and film. We could easily say that about each and every couple we have to honor of filming but it’s nonetheless true. Each couple brings their own uniquely distinct style and vibe to the day and Natasha and Dima were no different. They brought such a youthful yet sincere love to the day in a way we hadn’t seen before.
We could really see how much they love each other when they did their interview portion. Dima would do literally anything for her and just loved every single thing about her. Natasha teared up while reminiscing on their journey and her love for him. It was such a sweet and sentimental moment for everyone, really allowing them to process and express their feelings for the other.
From start to finish, their wedding day took place at a private estate in West Linn, OR in the middle of nowhere. It was really fun and exciting to shoot a wedding in a place so secluded; just open greenery for miles. The venue itself had a suite for the bride and groom to get ready in, the outside of a little white barn for the ceremony, and then just inside for the reception. We love how the venue opted for a clean and slightly modern-looking barn with black metal, industrial details to the white finish of the barn’s interior and exterior. It kept the charm of the barn without going too far down the shabby/rustic side.
We did half of their creative shoot in and alongside the grapevines they had and the other half, up the road, in an open field in the grass for sunset. Both locations were beautiful and gave a little variety to their classy, rustic wedding. The lighting during sunset was unbelievable and is probably one of our favorite parts of the day. It just added a whole other layer of cinematic romance.
