Wedding Videography in Willamette Valley

The Willamette Valley is the soul of Oregon's wine country — a 150-mile-long agricultural basin stretching from Portland to Eugene, flanked by the Coast Range to the west and the Cascades to the east, producing some of the finest Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris in the world. For couples who want the romance of a vineyard wedding without the California crowds or pricing, the Willamette Valley offers extraordinary depth of choice at every price point and aesthetic.

Salem anchors the valley's mid-section with a capital city energy and access to Marion County's berry farms, tulip fields, and historic properties. McMinnville has emerged as the valley's most vibrant wine town, with a walkable downtown packed with tasting rooms and farm-to-table restaurants, while nearby Newberg and Dundee Hills offer elevated estate winery experiences on the valley's northern slopes. Each microclimate and sub-AVA within the valley has its own distinct light, terrain, and harvest character.

Film House Weddings is based in Portland at the Willamette Valley's northern tip, and the valley is our home territory. We have filmed harvest celebrations, spring vineyard ceremonies, and winter winery events across the length of this landscape. We understand the valley's light — how the Pacific marine layer softens mornings, how the afternoon sun cuts low across the vine rows in October, and why the Willamette Valley consistently produces some of the most beautiful wedding films we make.

Why Choose Film House Weddings

Film House Weddings is a luxury wedding cinematography studio founded by Dennis Mulyar, a first-generation Ukrainian American filmmaker with a Bachelor's degree in Film and 15 years of experience across entertainment, beauty, and traditional film festivals. The studio has worked with clients including companies like Nike, Adidas, Snapchat, Paramount+, Anastasia Beverly Hills, and Augustinus Bader. Featured in BRIDES magazine and Washington Wedding Day.

Based in Willamette Valley, our team has filmed hundreds of weddings at venues across the country and beyond. We are not a one-person operation. Film House Weddings is a team of dedicated filmmakers who share the same obsession with cinematic craft, candid emotion, and timeless storytelling. Dennis leads the creative vision while his team executes on the ground. The result is a cinematic experience built for couples who understand that their wedding film is not just for them. It is for future generations.

Every detail of our process exists to serve couples who refuse to take a chance when it comes to preserving their most important moments. We work directly with your planner and photographer to make sure everyone is in sync and no moment is missed. Our team arrives early, stays late, and disappears into your day so you can live every moment fully.

Willamette Valley Wedding Tips

Choose Your Sub-AVA Intentionally

The Willamette Valley contains nine distinct AVAs, each with its own terrain, elevation, and aesthetic character. Whether you want the dramatic hilltops of the Chehalem Mountains, the wide valley floor near Salem, or the hillside vistas of the Eola-Amity Hills, the right sub-AVA shapes your film's entire visual identity.

Schedule Portraits During the Golden Hour Vine Rows

The low-angle autumn light cutting through vine rows at harvest is arguably the most beautiful light in all of Oregon. Schedule portrait time in the late afternoon — roughly ninety minutes before sunset — for the most cinematic imagery of the day.

Book a Backup Rain Plan

Oregon wine country is beautiful in the rain, but outdoor ceremonies require a solid plan B. Confirm your venue's covered options and communicate weather flexibility with your vendors early so everyone is prepared to adapt gracefully.

Explore the McMinnville Food Scene for Rehearsal Dinner

McMinnville's Third Street has an exceptional concentration of chef-driven restaurants that make ideal rehearsal dinner settings. Book early — the best tables fill up on summer weekends months in advance.

Willamette Valley Wedding Videography FAQ

How much does a luxury wedding videographer cost in the Willamette Valley?

Every Film House Weddings package is custom built for the couple, the venue, and the wedding day — we do not publish flat pricing because no two luxury weddings are the same. Pricing scales with coverage hours, team size, deliverables, and travel. Reach out through our Connect page and we will build a proposal tailored to your Willamette Valley wedding.

Do you travel throughout the Willamette Valley?

Yes. Film House Weddings is based in Portland at the northern end of the Willamette Valley, and we film throughout the entire valley — from the northern Dundee Hills to vineyards south of Salem. Travel fees within the valley are minimal and discussed transparently during the proposal stage.

How far in advance should we book for a Willamette Valley vineyard wedding?

We recommend booking 9 to 18 months in advance for peak summer and harvest season dates. The valley's most sought-after estate venues fill up quickly and our calendar fills alongside them. Reach out as early as possible.

What is included in a wedding film package?

We build a custom package for every couple based on your vision and your wedding day. Typically, every client receives a 5 to 7 minute cinematic wedding film and a reel. Our team works directly with your planner and photographer to ensure seamless coverage from getting ready through the last dance.

Do you work with our photographer and wedding planner?

Absolutely. Coordination with your vendor team is a core part of our process. We work directly with your planner and photographer before and during the wedding day to make sure everyone is in sync and no moment is missed.

Have you filmed at Willamette Valley Vineyards and other major estates?

Yes. We have filmed across the Willamette Valley including major estate wineries, boutique vineyard properties, and historic venues throughout the valley. When working at a new venue, we scout light, timing, and flow ahead of your wedding day.

Do you offer drone coverage for Willamette Valley weddings?

Yes. Drone coverage is available as an add-on and the Willamette Valley — with its vine-covered hillsides, patchwork farmland, and Cascade mountain backdrop — creates breathtaking aerial footage. We coordinate FAA airspace and venue permissions in advance.

How long until we receive our wedding film?

Delivery timelines are discussed during the proposal stage and depend on the season and edit scope. Expedited delivery is available if you need your film sooner — let us know during the booking conversation and we will build a timeline that works for you. Final films are delivered digitally via a private link.

Do you provide raw footage?

Raw footage is available on request as an add-on. Most couples do not request it — our edited cinematic film, reel, and optional full ceremony and speeches edit capture everything that matters. If raw footage is important to you, let us know during the proposal conversation and we will include it in your custom package.

Can you film a multi-day Willamette Valley wine country weekend?

Yes. Multi-day coverage for vineyard rehearsal dinners, wedding day ceremonies, and Sunday wine country send-offs is available and discussed during the proposal stage. The Willamette Valley is wonderfully set up for a full destination celebration weekend.
