Wedding Videography at Trilogy at the Polo Club
Trilogy at the Polo Club is the clubhouse centerpiece of a gated community along Avenue 52, on the border between La Quinta and Indio in the Coachella Valley. The building itself runs more than 25,000 square feet and sits on a slight rise, with the Santa Rosa Mountains visible to the southwest and the Chocolate Mountains to the north. The 2Palms Event Center indoor space accommodates up to 100 guests, while outdoor ceremony sites on the property, the Santa Rosa Lawns and the Reflection Lake, hold up to 150 and 200 guests respectively.
The Coachella Valley's flat desert floor means mountains stay visible on the horizon from almost anywhere on this property, and the clubhouse's elevated position exaggerates that further, so wide shots at the Reflection Lake or Santa Rosa Lawns carry real depth from foreground water or lawn straight through to the Santa Rosa range in the distance. That range picks up strong color at sunset, going from tan to rose to deep purple within twenty minutes, which is worth building the ceremony timing around rather than treating as incidental scenery.
Indio and the eastern Coachella Valley run notably hotter than coastal California for most of the year, so weddings here concentrate heavily in the cooler months from late fall through early spring, and even then, an evening ceremony timed for that mountain color payoff is the more comfortable call for guests as well as the better shot. Film House Weddings would be honored to film your wedding at Trilogy at the Polo Club.
