Wedding Videography at Historic Blum Barn
Historic Blum Barn sits on 43 acres near Manchester, a small hamlet outside Ann Arbor, on land first settled in 1832. The barn itself is one of the larger barn venues in the region, offering more than 6,000 square feet of event space and seating for up to 200 guests. The working farm around it keeps goats, sheep, cows, and chickens alongside a pond, and the property offers three separate ceremony locations plus a large outdoor patio, giving couples real flexibility in how the day is laid out across rolling farmland.
For a wedding videographer, the working-farm setting does a lot of the visual work on its own. Animals grazing in the background, a pond that catches evening light, and genuine rolling terrain give wide establishing shots more variety than a single flat lawn can offer. Having three distinct ceremony sites also means a couple can choose a backdrop, tree line, pond edge, open field, that matches the tone of their footage rather than defaulting to whatever space happens to be available that day. Interior barn coverage benefits from the building's scale, with enough ceiling height and open floor to keep wide reception shots from feeling cramped even at full capacity.
Southeast Michigan runs full four-season weather, with spring and fall bringing the most reliable outdoor ceremony conditions and summer humidity worth planning around for an outdoor timeline. The barn's rural setting outside Ann Arbor also means genuinely dark, quiet evenings once the sun sets, good for string lighting and low-light reception coverage. Film House Weddings would be honored to film your wedding at Historic Blum Barn.

Yes. Drone coverage is available as an add-on, coordinated with local airspace rules and any venue restrictions.
