Freemark Abbey Winery

St. Helena, CA

Wedding Videography at Freemark Abbey Winery

Freemark Abbey Winery sits along Highway 29 between St. Helena and Calistoga, with roots tracing back to 1886 and an original winery building completed in 1898, making it one of the oldest working wineries in Napa Valley. The estate is also home to one of the larger wine libraries in the United States, a detail that speaks to how long this property has been making and aging wine on-site rather than simply hosting events around a newer facility. Wedding and private event spaces include the Barrel Room and Bosché Room, along with a Great Hall and Courtyard for larger gatherings.

The age of the property is what separates it on camera from newer Napa event venues built primarily for hospitality. Stone and heavy timber construction, barrels aging in place rather than staged as decor, and a courtyard shaped by more than a century of use give footage a weight that's hard to manufacture. The Barrel Room in particular offers a dense, textured backdrop for an intimate ceremony or toast, cool and dim in a way that contrasts sharply with Napa's bright valley exteriors.

St. Helena's stretch of Napa Valley runs warmer and sees less fog than towns closer to the bay, with harvest-season light in September and October carrying a particular gold cast across the surrounding vineyard rows. Film House Weddings films throughout Napa Valley and would be honored to film your wedding at Freemark Abbey Winery.

How much does a luxury wedding videographer cost at Freemark Abbey Winery?

Every Film House Weddings package is custom built for the couple, the venue, and the wedding day. Reach out through our Connect page and we will build a proposal tailored to your wedding.

How far in advance should we book?

We recommend 9 to 18 months for peak season (May through October).

What is included in a wedding film package?

We build a custom package for every couple based on your vision and your wedding day. Typically, every client receives a 5 to 7 minute cinematic wedding film and a reel. Our team works directly with your planner and photographer to ensure seamless coverage from getting ready through the last dance.

Do you work with our photographer and wedding planner?

Absolutely. Coordination with your vendor team is a core part of our process. We work directly with your planner and photographer before and during the wedding day to make sure everyone is in sync and no moment is missed.

Do you offer drone videography?

Yes. Drone coverage is available as an add-on, coordinated with local airspace rules and any venue restrictions.

How long until we receive our wedding film?

Delivery timelines are discussed during the proposal stage and depend on the season and edit scope. Expedited delivery is available if you need your film sooner. Let us know during the booking conversation and we will build a timeline that works for you. Final films are delivered digitally via a private link.

Do you provide raw footage?

Raw footage is available on request as an add-on. Most couples do not request it, since our edited cinematic film, reel, and optional full ceremony and speeches edit capture everything that matters. If raw footage is important to you, let us know during the proposal conversation and we will include it in your custom package.

Will you provide a second shooter?

Our standard package is filmed by a two-person team. Additional shooters are available as an add-on.
