Wedding Videography at Darioush Winery

Darioush Winery sits on the Silverado Trail in Napa, and its architecture is unlike anything else in the valley: 16 columns, each roughly 18 feet tall and crowned with carved double-headed horses, drawn directly from Persepolis, the historic capital of ancient Persia. Founder Darioush Khaledi had the travertine stone quarried near the actual Persepolis site, then shipped to Turkey and Italy for cutting before it reached Napa. The estate hosts private events and celebratory receptions through its special events team, with tasting rooms and hospitality spaces built around that same columned facade.

For wedding cinematography, this is one of the rare American venues where the architecture itself is the whole visual statement, not a backdrop borrowed from another era's styling but a genuine, purpose-built homage. The scale of the columns creates dramatic vertical lines for both wide establishing shots and closer portrait work, and the travertine's warm, pale color holds light differently than the wood and stone of a typical Napa estate. Late-day sun raking across the colonnade produces long shadows that most Wine Country venues simply don't have the architecture to create.

Napa's Silverado Trail runs warm through the growing season, generally drier and sunnier than the valley floor closer to the Napa River, with long, even summer evenings well suited to late ceremony timing. Film House Weddings films throughout Northern California and would be honored to film your wedding at Darioush Winery.

How far in advance should we book?

We recommend 9 to 18 months for peak season (May through October).

What is included in a wedding film package?
