Wedding Videography in Thousand Oaks

Thousand Oaks and the Conejo Valley occupy a privileged position in Southern California — far enough from the LA basin to feel genuinely rural, yet close enough to draw world-class venues and an affluent wedding market that demands cinematic quality in every detail.

Westlake Village, the jewel of the Conejo Valley, offers a collection of lakeside resorts, private country clubs, and estate wineries that rival anything Orange County has to offer. The Santa Monica Mountains rising to the south provide a dramatic backdrop that catches extraordinary golden-hour light.

Film House Weddings brings the same standard of luxury wedding filmmaking to the Conejo Valley that has earned us 51 consecutive five-star Google reviews throughout Southern California. The hills, the lake, and the warm valley light are exceptional filmmaking territory.

Why Choose Film House Weddings

Film House Weddings is a luxury wedding cinematography studio founded by Dennis Mulyar, a first-generation Ukrainian American filmmaker with a Bachelor's degree in Film and 15 years of experience across entertainment, beauty, and traditional film festivals. The studio has worked with clients including companies like Nike, Adidas, Snapchat, Paramount+, Anastasia Beverly Hills, and Augustinus Bader. Featured in BRIDES magazine and Washington Wedding Day.

Based in Thousand Oaks, our team has filmed hundreds of weddings at venues across the country and beyond. We are not a one-person operation. Film House Weddings is a team of dedicated filmmakers who share the same obsession with cinematic craft, candid emotion, and timeless storytelling. Dennis leads the creative vision while his team executes on the ground. The result is a cinematic experience built for couples who understand that their wedding film is not just for them. It is for future generations.

Every detail of our process exists to serve couples who refuse to take a chance when it comes to preserving their most important moments. We work directly with your planner and photographer to make sure everyone is in sync and no moment is missed. Our team arrives early, stays late, and disappears into your day so you can live every moment fully.

Thousand Oaks Wedding Tips

Mountain Backdrop

The Santa Monica Mountains provide a dramatic ceremony backdrop from most Conejo Valley venues. Late afternoon light turns the hills amber — plan portrait time accordingly.

Westlake Lake

The lake at Westlake Village Inn offers extraordinary reflections at dusk. A brief lakeside portrait session adds cinematic footage that is hard to replicate anywhere else.

Summer Evenings

The Conejo Valley cools significantly after sunset. Outdoor receptions that start warm can get chilly quickly — remind guests to bring a layer.

Freeway Access

The 101 through Thousand Oaks can back up on Friday evenings. If your ceremony is Friday, communicate traffic expectations to guests traveling from LA.

Thousand Oaks Wedding Videography FAQ

How much does a luxury wedding videographer cost in Thousand Oaks?

Every Film House Weddings package is custom built for the couple, the venue, and the wedding day. Reach out through our Connect page and we will build a proposal tailored to your wedding.

Do you film weddings in Thousand Oaks?

Yes. Film House Weddings films throughout the Conejo Valley — Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village, Newbury Park, and Agoura Hills.

How far in advance should we book?

We recommend 9 to 18 months for peak season. Sherwood Country Club and Four Seasons venues book very far in advance.

What is included in a wedding film package?

We build a custom package for every couple based on your vision and your wedding day. Typically, every client receives a 5 to 7 minute cinematic wedding film and a reel. Our team works directly with your planner and photographer to ensure seamless coverage from getting ready through the last dance.

Do you work with our photographer and wedding planner?

Absolutely. Coordination with your vendor team is a core part of our process. We work directly with your planner and photographer before and during the wedding day to make sure everyone is in sync and no moment is missed.

Which Thousand Oaks venues have you filmed at?

We have filmed throughout the Conejo Valley and Westlake Village area. If your venue is new to us, we scout it in advance.

Do you offer drone videography?

Yes. Drone coverage is available as an add-on. The mountain and lake views of the Conejo Valley are spectacular from above.

How long until we receive our wedding film?

Delivery timelines are discussed during the proposal stage and depend on the season and edit scope. Expedited delivery is available if you need your film sooner — let us know during the booking conversation and we will build a timeline that works for you. Final films are delivered digitally via a private link.

Do you provide raw footage?

Raw footage is available on request as an add-on. Most couples do not request it — our edited cinematic film, reel, and optional full ceremony and speeches edit capture everything that matters. If raw footage is important to you, let us know during the proposal conversation and we will include it in your custom package.

Will you provide a second shooter?

Our standard package is filmed by a two-person team. Additional shooters are available as an add-on.
