Wedding Videography in The Berkshires

The Berkshires occupy a singular place in New England's cultural geography — a mountain refuge where Gilded Age wealth built mansions they called cottages, where Tanglewood's summer concerts drift through the trees on warm evenings, and where Norman Rockwell found enough material to define a generation's idea of American life. For couples who care about beauty, culture, and the particular peace of a mountain town that takes art seriously, the Berkshires are difficult to surpass.

Our films here tend toward the intimate and the atmospheric. The region's estates — Blantyre, Wheatleigh, Cranwell — provide architectural grandeur without the formality of urban ballrooms. The surrounding landscape is rolling and forested, pastoral in the way that English countryside is pastoral, and it creates a natural softness in every frame. We use the light that comes through old-growth trees and off ancient stone walls, and we let the landscape do what it has always done: make things look timeless.

We film throughout the Berkshires, from Williamstown in the north to Great Barrington in the south. Every wedding here is a little different — some couples want the full Gilded Age estate experience, others want a barn wedding that looks out over September foliage, and some want something entirely unconventional in a renovated mill building with a local chef and a string quartet. We love them all.

The Berkshires Wedding Tips

Time your wedding around Tanglewood season

Tanglewood's summer concert season (late June through August) brings energy and visitors to Lenox, but also traffic and accommodation competition. If you want maximum energy, plan during the season. If you want venue exclusivity and quiet roads, September is ideal.

Visit The Mount for a portrait stop

Even if you are not marrying at The Mount, Edith Wharton's estate is a short drive from Lenox and offers extraordinary portrait settings in its formal garden terraces. Many couples incorporate a brief portrait stop there with their photographer and cinematographer.

October foliage is extraordinary but competitive

The Berkshires in peak fall color are genuinely world-class. October dates at estate venues book very early. We recommend reaching out in January or February of the year prior to secure your preferred date.

Plan for rural travel time

The Berkshires are spread across a north-south corridor with winding mountain roads between towns. Vendor travel between Williamstown and Great Barrington takes longer than the distance suggests. Build generous buffers between any events at different locations.

The Berkshires Wedding Videography FAQ

Do you film weddings in the Berkshires?

Yes. We film throughout the Berkshires, including Lenox, Stockbridge, Great Barrington, Williamstown, Pittsfield, and New Marlborough. This region's estate venues and mountain landscape make it one of the most cinematically rewarding areas we cover on the East Coast.

What are the best Berkshires venues for wedding films?

Blantyre, Wheatleigh, The Mount, and Cranwell Resort are among the most visually stunning venues in the region. Gedney Farm in New Marlborough is extraordinary for couples who want a rustic-elegant pastoral setting rather than a formal estate.

Can you film at Tanglewood or near Tanglewood?

We do not film inside Tanglewood performance spaces, but many couples whose weddings coincide with the summer season incorporate Tanglewood lawn concerts into their weekend itinerary. We can capture rehearsal dinners and weekend events at venues throughout Lenox and the surrounding area.

What is included in a Berkshires wedding film package?

We build a custom package for every couple based on your vision and your wedding day. Typically, every client receives a 5 to 7 minute cinematic wedding film and a reel. Our team works directly with your planner and photographer to ensure seamless coverage from getting ready through the last dance.

Do you work with Berkshires wedding planners?

Absolutely. Coordination with your vendor team is a core part of our process. We work directly with your planner and photographer before and during the wedding day to make sure everyone is in sync and no moment is missed.

When is the best time to get married in the Berkshires?

Late September and October are peak season for foliage and arguably the most beautiful time of year. June through August is popular for estate gardens and outdoor ceremonies. January and February offer a stripped-bare winter beauty that photographs powerfully, especially at stone estate venues.

How far in advance should I book?

For October foliage dates, we recommend reaching out 18 to 24 months in advance. Spring and summer dates book 12 months out for prime venues. The Berkshires estate wedding market is competitive — early outreach is always the right move.

Do you offer drone coverage in the Berkshires?

Yes. Drone coverage in the Berkshires adds extraordinary perspective on the mountain and valley landscape, especially around the Stockbridge Bowl and the rolling hills surrounding Lenox. We confirm venue approval and airspace clearance as part of our pre-wedding process.

How long until we receive our wedding film?

Delivery timelines are discussed during the proposal stage and depend on the season and edit scope. Expedited delivery is available if you need your film sooner — let us know during the booking conversation and we will build a timeline that works for you. Final films are delivered digitally via a private link.

Do you provide raw footage?

Raw footage is available on request as an add-on. Most couples do not request it — our edited cinematic film, reel, and optional full ceremony and speeches edit capture everything that matters. If raw footage is important to you, let us know during the proposal conversation and we will include it in your custom package.
