Templeton is the quiet soul of the Paso Robles wine country — a small agricultural town framed by rolling oak savanna, ranch fences, and the gentle hills of the Templeton Gap, a wind corridor that gives the area its unique terroir and its extraordinary afternoon light. Couples drawn to Templeton want a wedding that feels grounded, unhurried, and genuinely Californian.
The surrounding landscape is one of the most cinematic in the Central Coast. Ancient valley oaks frame ranch roads, vineyards stretch toward low hills, and the open skies above Templeton create golden-hour conditions that reward any cinematographer. There is a simplicity and authenticity to this place that makes for wedding films full of warmth and texture.
Film House Weddings brings its full cinematic approach to Templeton and Paso Robles wine-country weddings. Whether your celebration unfolds on a private ranch, a working vineyard, or a rustic barn estate, we know how to find the light, read the emotion, and tell a story that will last a lifetime.

Templeton Wedding Tips
Summer Heat Requires Timing
Templeton summers are warm — July and August afternoons can reach 95°F. Schedule your ceremony for 5 PM or later, ensure shade is available for cocktail hour, and your guests and your film will both be much happier.
The Templeton Gap Wind
The afternoon westerly breeze through the Templeton Gap is consistent and can be strong. It keeps things cool but affects outdoor audio. A lavalier mic on your officiant and a good boom operator will protect your ceremony sound.
Ranch Venues Need Extra Setup Time
Private ranch properties often lack built-in infrastructure. Work with your venue on power, restrooms, lighting, and catering facilities well in advance — and share your logistical timeline with your videographer so we can plan around it.
Fall is Peak Wine Country Season
Harvest typically runs September through October. Vineyards are at peak visual beauty — golden leaves, activity in the rows, and magnificent evening light. If your schedule is flexible, fall weddings in Templeton are extraordinary on film.

Templeton Wedding Videography FAQ
Do you film weddings in Templeton and Paso Robles?
Yes. Film House Weddings films throughout the Central Coast wine country, including Templeton, Paso Robles, Atascadero, and surrounding San Luis Obispo County. Reach out through our Connect page and we will build a custom proposal for your venue and date.
How much does a wedding videographer cost in Templeton?
Every package is custom built for the couple, the venue, and the wedding day. Pricing scales with coverage hours, team size, deliverables, and travel. We do not publish flat rates — reach out and we will build a proposal tailored to your celebration.
How far in advance should we book a wine-country wedding videographer?
We recommend booking 12 to 18 months in advance for peak season (May through October). Paso Robles wine-country venues fill quickly and our calendar follows. That said, we occasionally have last-minute availability — reach out and we will let you know.
What is included in a wedding film package?
We build a custom package for every couple based on your vision and your wedding day. Typically, every client receives a 5 to 7 minute cinematic wedding film and a reel. Our team works directly with your planner and photographer to ensure seamless coverage from getting ready through the last dance.
Do you work with our photographer and wedding planner?
Absolutely. Coordination with your vendor team is a core part of our process. We work directly with your planner and photographer before and during the wedding day to make sure everyone is in sync and no moment is missed.
What venues in the Templeton area have you filmed at?
We have filmed at ranches, wineries, and estates throughout the Paso Robles and Templeton area. If your venue is somewhere new to us, we arrive early to scout the property so we know every corner of light and flow before your day begins.
Do you offer drone coverage at ranch and vineyard weddings?
Yes. Aerial coverage is an add-on that is especially powerful over ranch and vineyard landscapes. We coordinate airspace and venue permissions in advance of your wedding day.
How long until we receive our wedding film?
Delivery timelines are discussed during the proposal stage and depend on the season and edit scope. Expedited delivery is available if you need your film sooner — let us know during the booking conversation and we will build a timeline that works for you. Final films are delivered digitally via a private link.
Do you provide raw footage?
Raw footage is available on request as an add-on. Most couples do not request it — our edited cinematic film, reel, and optional full ceremony and speeches edit capture everything that matters. If raw footage is important to you, let us know during the proposal conversation and we will include it in your custom package.
Is Templeton good for a destination wedding from out of state?
Absolutely. Templeton and Paso Robles wine country offer an authentic California ranch experience that couples from across the country and internationally seek out. The area is accessible via SLO airport and is an easy drive from Los Angeles or the Bay Area.
