Summer Is the Premium Season
Sunriver peaks in July and August when resort capacity is at maximum and the high desert weather is reliably warm and dry. Book accommodations and vendors 12 to 18 months out for summer weekend dates.
Cascade Lakes Are Remote
Venues along the Cascade Lakes Highway (Elk Lake, Lava Lake, Hosmer Lake) require forest service permits and have limited cellular service. Plan logistics carefully and build extra travel time into vendor timelines.
Central Oregon Stars
Sunriver is famous for its dark skies and is home to the Oregon Observatory. If you want astrophotography or star-lit reception footage as part of your wedding film, Central Oregon is one of the best places in the Pacific Northwest for it.
Wildfire Smoke Planning
Like all of Central Oregon, Sunriver is vulnerable to wildfire smoke in late July and August. Monitor air quality forecasts and have a contingency indoor plan for your ceremony if smoke threatens your outdoor timeline.

How much does a wedding videographer cost at Sunriver Resort?
Every Film House Weddings package is custom built for the couple, the venue, and the wedding day. We do not publish flat pricing because no two luxury weddings are the same. Reach out through our Connect page and we will build a proposal tailored to your Sunriver wedding.
How far in advance should we book for a Sunriver wedding?
We recommend booking 12 to 18 months in advance for peak summer dates. Sunriver Resort is a high-demand destination and popular summer weekends book out very early.
What is included in a wedding film package?
We build a custom package for every couple based on your vision and your wedding day. Typically, every client receives a 5 to 7 minute cinematic wedding film and a reel. Our team works directly with your planner and photographer to ensure seamless coverage from getting ready through the last dance.
Do you work with our photographer and wedding planner?
Absolutely. Coordination with your vendor team is a core part of our process. We work directly with your planner and photographer before and during the wedding day to make sure everyone is in sync and no moment is missed.
Have you filmed at Sunriver Resort and the Cascade Lakes?
Yes. We have filmed in the Sunriver area and throughout Central Oregon. For any venue we have not visited before, we scout light, timing, and logistics ahead of your wedding day.
Do you offer drone coverage for Sunriver weddings?
Yes. Drone coverage is available as an add-on and is especially impactful in Central Oregon — the Cascades, the high desert, and the Deschutes River from above are extraordinary. Drone usage is coordinated ahead of time with your venue and local airspace regulations.
How long until we receive our wedding film?
Delivery timelines are discussed during the proposal stage and depend on the season and edit scope. Expedited delivery is available if you need your film sooner — let us know during the booking conversation and we will build a timeline that works for you. Final films are delivered digitally via a private link.
Do you provide raw footage?
Raw footage is available on request as an add-on. Most couples do not request it — our edited cinematic film, reel, and optional full ceremony and speeches edit capture everything that matters. If raw footage is important to you, let us know during the proposal conversation and we will include it in your custom package.
