Luxury Point Reyes Station Wedding Videographer
Film House Weddings documents weddings at Point Reyes National Seashore and the Coast Marin communities of Point Reyes Station, Olema, and Inverness. Where Pacific cliffs meet tule elk meadows and dairy farms, we capture wedding films that feel like California at its most elemental.

Point Reyes Station and the communities that surround Point Reyes National Seashore occupy a stretch of California coastline that feels genuinely wild. The peninsula juts into the Pacific where two tectonic plates meet, producing a landscape of dramatic cliffs, hidden beaches, estuaries thick with migratory birds, and open meadows where tule elk roam free. For couples who want a wedding that is connected to the natural world at the deepest level, there is no better place in Northern California.
Olema's historic inn and surrounding farmlands, Inverness's bay-front lodges and pine-forested hillsides, and the village character of Point Reyes Station itself create a micro-region with remarkable variety for intimate celebrations. The National Seashore requires permits for ceremonies, but those who navigate the process are rewarded with ceremony sites of staggering beauty — clifftop meadows, lighthouse headlands, and sheltered estero shores.
Film House Weddings travels throughout California for weddings in places like Point Reyes — locations where the landscape is the story and where our cinematic approach to storytelling is most naturally at home. We know how to work with coastal light, Pacific fog, and open-air environments to produce wedding films that feel as expansive and emotional as the land itself.
Why Choose Film House Weddings
Film House Weddings is a luxury wedding cinematography studio founded by Dennis Mulyar, a first-generation Ukrainian American filmmaker with a Bachelor's degree in Film and 15 years of experience across entertainment, beauty, and traditional film festivals. Point Reyes Station Wedding Tips
Begin the Permit Process Early for National Seashore Ceremonies
Special use permits for ceremonies within Point Reyes National Seashore must be applied for through the National Park Service and can take several months to process. Begin the application at least 12 months in advance and work with a planner experienced in national park event logistics.
Embrace the Fog as a Creative Element
Pacific fog rolls through Point Reyes with a cinematic beauty that photographers and filmmakers actively seek out. Rather than hoping for clear skies, embrace the fog — it creates atmosphere, drama, and a mood that is uniquely West Marin.
Plan Remote Logistics Meticulously
Point Reyes is genuinely remote. Cell service is limited, roads are narrow, and the nearest major town is 45 minutes away. Every vendor should have printed directions, a physical timeline, and a pre-arranged check-in system. Shuttle guests from a designated parking area.
Time Tomales Bay Events for Calm Morning Water
Tomales Bay is most beautiful — and most still — in the morning hours before afternoon winds arrive from the Pacific. If you are planning waterside portraits or a ceremony near the bay, schedule them for mid-morning to take advantage of mirror-flat water reflections.

Point Reyes Station Wedding Videography FAQ
How much does a luxury wedding videographer cost at Point Reyes?
Every Film House Weddings package is custom built for the couple, the venue, and the wedding day — we do not publish flat pricing because no two luxury weddings are the same. Pricing scales with coverage hours, team size, deliverables, and travel. Reach out through our Connect page and we will build a proposal tailored to your Point Reyes wedding.
Do you travel to Point Reyes for weddings?
Yes. Film House Weddings is based in Orange County and travels throughout California for luxury weddings. Point Reyes and West Marin are destinations we are passionate about — travel fees are discussed transparently during the proposal stage.
How far in advance should we book for a Point Reyes wedding?
We recommend reaching out 12 to 18 months before your date, especially if you are pursuing a National Seashore ceremony permit. West Marin venue availability is extremely limited and our calendar fills early. Contact us as soon as possible.
What is included in a wedding film package?
We build a custom package for every couple based on your vision and your wedding day. Typically, every client receives a 5 to 7 minute cinematic wedding film and a reel. Our team works directly with your planner and photographer to ensure seamless coverage from getting ready through the last dance.
Do you work with our photographer and wedding planner?
Absolutely. Coordination with your vendor team is a core part of our process. We work directly with your planner and photographer before and during the wedding day to make sure everyone is in sync and no moment is missed.
Do you have experience filming in coastal and National Park environments?
Yes. Coastal and wilderness environments require specialized preparation — managing salty air and humidity on equipment, working with variable natural light, and respecting permit conditions and wildlife. We are fully experienced in these settings.
Do you offer drone coverage at Point Reyes?
Drone flights within Point Reyes National Seashore require specific NPS authorization in addition to FAA compliance. We can coordinate the permit application process and fly where authorized — the aerial perspectives here are genuinely extraordinary.
How long until we receive our wedding film?
Delivery timelines are discussed during the proposal stage and depend on the season and edit scope. Expedited delivery is available if you need your film sooner — let us know during the booking conversation and we will build a timeline that works for you. Final films are delivered digitally via a private link.
Do you provide raw footage?
Raw footage is available on request as an add-on. Most couples do not request it — our edited cinematic film, reel, and optional full ceremony and speeches edit capture everything that matters. If raw footage is important to you, let us know during the proposal conversation and we will include it in your custom package.
Can you film an elopement on the Point Reyes cliffs?
Yes. Clifftop elopements and micro-ceremonies at Point Reyes are among the most powerful events we document. The combination of Pacific cliffs, wildflower meadows, and California's wide-open sky creates wedding films of extraordinary emotional impact. Reach out and we will guide you through the logistics.
