Park City is one of the most enchanting mountain wedding destinations in the American West — a historic silver mining town that has reinvented itself as a world-class ski resort and arts community without losing any of its small-town charm. Nestled in the Wasatch Mountains at 7,000 feet, it sits just 30 minutes from Salt Lake City yet feels like an entirely different world: quiet, rarefied, and surrounded by some of the most spectacular mountain scenery in the country.
The range of wedding settings in and around Park City is remarkable. Deer Valley Resort offers a level of mountain luxury that rivals any European ski destination. Sundance Mountain Resort — Robert Redford's iconic retreat on the flanks of Mount Timpanogos — provides a more intimate, art-forward experience. Heber Valley's pastoral landscapes bring wide meadows and horse farms into the mix. And for couples who want something completely private, the surrounding canyons and mountain ranches provide spectacular settings far from any crowd.
Film House Weddings travels regularly to Park City and the greater Wasatch area for luxury weddings. We understand mountain wedding logistics — altitude, afternoon weather shifts, the rhythm of resort properties — and we bring the same cinematic craft and personal attention that has earned us 51 consecutive five-star Google reviews to every celebration we film.

Park City Wedding Tips
Summer Wildflower Season
Late June through July is wildflower season in the Wasatch — mountain meadows above Park City explode with color and the light is extraordinary. This window is the most visually stunning for outdoor mountain ceremonies and also one of the most popular booking periods, so reserve early.
Resort Gondola Logistics
Several Park City venues use gondola access for ceremony sites. Coordinate with your venue and planner on guest transportation timing, equipment logistics, and weather contingency plans — gondolas may pause in high wind or lightning conditions.
Altitude and Guest Comfort
Park City sits at 7,000 feet. Guests arriving from lower elevations may experience altitude effects in the first 24 hours. Encourage hydration reminders in your welcome materials and plan a rehearsal dinner that allows guests time to acclimate before the wedding day.
Fall Shoulder Season
September and early October offer clear skies, changing aspen colors, and significantly fewer crowds than peak summer months. A fall Park City wedding often produces more cinematic and intimate results — and typically comes with more venue and vendor availability.

Park City Wedding Videography FAQ
How much does a luxury wedding videographer cost in Park City?
Every Film House Weddings package is custom built for the couple, the venue, and the wedding day. Park City weddings often involve multi-day resort logistics, mountain access considerations, and travel that we factor into every proposal. We do not publish flat pricing — reach out through our Connect page for a tailored quote.
Do you travel for weddings to Park City?
Yes. Film House Weddings is based in Orange County, California and Portland, Oregon. Park City and the Wasatch Mountains are a regular travel market for us. Travel fees may apply depending on the wedding date and logistics.
How far in advance should we book our Park City wedding videographer?
We recommend booking 12 to 18 months in advance. Park City's peak wedding season runs June through September, with wildflower-season weekends in late June and July booking fastest. Deer Valley and Stein Eriksen often require vendor commitments a year or more out — reach out early.
What is included in a wedding film package?
We build a custom package for every couple based on your vision and your wedding day. Typically, every client receives a 5 to 7 minute cinematic wedding film and a reel. Our team works directly with your planner and photographer to ensure seamless coverage from getting ready through the last dance.
Do you work with our photographer and wedding planner?
Absolutely. Coordination with your vendor team is a core part of our process. We work directly with your planner and photographer before and during the wedding day to make sure everyone is in sync and no moment is missed.
Which Park City venues have you filmed at?
We have filmed at venues across the Wasatch Mountains including Deer Valley resort properties, Heber Valley ranch estates, and Sundance area retreats. If your venue is new to us, we scout the property ahead of your wedding day to understand light, timing, and gondola or mountain access logistics.
Do you offer drone and aerial wedding videography in Park City?
Yes. Drone coverage is a spectacular addition to Park City mountain weddings — the alpine perspective of Deer Valley and the Heber Valley is unlike anything captured at ground level. We coordinate all drone flights with your venue and applicable airspace regulations in the Wasatch Mountains.
How long until we receive our wedding film?
Delivery timelines are discussed during the proposal stage and depend on the season and edit scope. Expedited delivery is available if you need your film sooner — let us know during the booking conversation and we will build a timeline that works for you. Final films are delivered digitally via a private link.
Do you provide raw footage?
Raw footage is available on request as an add-on. Most couples do not request it — our edited cinematic film, reel, and optional full ceremony and speeches edit capture everything that matters. If raw footage is important to you, let us know during the proposal conversation and we will include it in your custom package.
Will you provide a second shooter or videographer at our Park City wedding?
Our standard Park City package includes a two-person team — one cinematographer with each partner during getting ready, then full coverage for the ceremony, portraits, and reception. For larger resort celebrations or multi-mountain-location days, additional shooters are available as an add-on confirmed during the proposal stage.
