Wedding Videography in Miami

Miami is one of the world's most visually arresting cities — a place where the palette of every frame is richer than anywhere else on the Eastern Seaboard. Turquoise Biscayne Bay, the pastel Art Deco facades of South Beach, the lush banyan-shaded streets of Coral Gables, and the luminous light that pours across South Florida year-round give couples a wedding backdrop that is genuinely unmatched. Add in the city's extraordinary multicultural energy and you have a wedding scene that is as diverse and dynamic as the city itself.

Miami's peak wedding season runs from November through April when temperatures are ideal and the summer humidity retreats. December and January in particular offer crystalline blue skies and the kind of weather that makes outdoor ceremonies feel effortless. That said, Miami's indoor venues — grand ballrooms in Coral Gables, rooftop terraces on South Beach — are spectacular year-round.

Film House Weddings approaches Miami weddings with an appreciation for the city's visual richness. We know how to work the saturated color and hard tropical light, how to capture the energy of a multicultural celebration, and how to frame the Biscayne Bay views that make South Florida so uniquely cinematic.

5 Questions to Ask Your Wedding Videographer Before You Book

The questions most couples don't ask that stop them from hiring someone truly exceptional.

Miami Wedding Tips

November Through April Is Prime

South Florida's dry season (November–April) is the clear choice for outdoor ceremonies. The humidity drops, the skies stay blue, and the light is ideal from dawn to dusk. Peak months of January and February can mean higher venue pricing.

Work With the Hard Light

Miami's midday sun is intense and high-contrast. Plan your outdoor portrait session for the golden hour — an hour before sunset when the light softens dramatically and the bay takes on a warm copper glow. Build this into your timeline from day one.

Hurricane Season Awareness

If your wedding falls between June and November, purchase wedding insurance and confirm your venue's weather contingency policy. June through September sees the highest storm risk, though weddings during this window proceed normally in a typical year.

Traffic and Bridges

Miami Beach is an island connected to the mainland by causeways. Traffic on Friday and Saturday evenings can extend travel times significantly. Plan vendor arrival windows generously and arrange guest transportation from mainland hotels.

Miami Wedding Videography FAQ

How much does a luxury wedding videographer cost in Miami?

Every Film House Weddings package is custom built for the couple, the venue, and the wedding day — we do not publish flat pricing because no two luxury weddings are the same. Pricing scales with coverage hours, team size, deliverables, and travel. Reach out through our Connect page and we will build a proposal tailored to your Miami wedding.

Do you travel for weddings to Miami?

Yes. Film House Weddings travels throughout Florida and the Southeast for weddings. Miami's Art Deco estates, Vizcaya gardens, and waterfront venues offer some of the most visually extraordinary wedding settings in the country. Travel fees may apply — reach out and we will provide full details.

How far in advance should we book our Miami wedding videographer?

We recommend booking 9 to 15 months in advance for Miami weddings. The prime dry-season months of January through April fill fast at top venues, and the luxury wedding market in South Florida is highly competitive.

What is included in a wedding film package?

We build a custom package for every couple based on your vision and your wedding day. Typically, every client receives a 5 to 7 minute cinematic wedding film and a reel. Our team works directly with your planner and photographer to ensure seamless coverage from getting ready through the last dance.

Do you work with our photographer and wedding planner?

Absolutely. Coordination with your vendor team is a core part of our process. We work directly with your planner and photographer before and during the wedding day to make sure everyone is in sync and no moment is missed.

Which Miami venues have you filmed at?

We film at venues throughout Miami and South Florida — from Vizcaya Museum and the Biltmore Coral Gables to Villa Woodbine, the Rusty Pelican on Key Biscayne, and Miami Beach resort properties. New venues are always scouted ahead of your wedding day.

Do you offer drone videography for Miami weddings?

Yes. Drone coverage is available as an add-on for Miami weddings. Biscayne Bay, the Miami skyline, and coastal estate properties are breathtaking from above. Airspace near Miami International and OPA-locka Executive Airport requires advance coordination — we handle all permitting and clearances.

How long until we receive our wedding film?

Delivery timelines are discussed during the proposal stage and depend on the season and edit scope. Expedited delivery is available if you need your film sooner — let us know during the booking conversation and we will build a timeline that works for you. Final films are delivered digitally via a private link.

Do you provide raw footage?

Raw footage is available on request as an add-on. Most couples do not request it — our edited cinematic film, reel, and optional full ceremony and speeches edit capture everything that matters. If raw footage is important to you, let us know during the proposal conversation and we will include it in your custom package.

Will you provide a second shooter for our Miami wedding?

Our standard Miami package includes a two-person team covering both partners through getting ready, the ceremony, portraits, and reception. Additional shooters are available for larger multicultural celebrations or multi-venue days across the metro.
