Woodburn anchors a stretch of the northern Willamette Valley where tulip fields, berry farms, nursery operations, and Bavarian-heritage communities create a layered agricultural landscape that is genuinely distinctive from the wine country further south. The Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm transforms the benchlands into a sea of color each spring, and the nearby town of Mt. Angel — famous for its Oktoberfest and its Benedictine abbey on the hill — gives the area a European cultural character that is rare in Oregon.
The Silverton Hills to the east roll up into the Cascade foothills with farm estates and vineyard properties that offer ceremony settings with Cascade Mountain views on clear days. Silver Falls State Park — Oregon's largest state park and home to ten significant waterfalls — is just thirty minutes away, providing extraordinary options for portrait sessions that complement a farm or estate wedding in the valley.
Film House Weddings is based in Portland and films throughout the northern Willamette Valley corridor. The tulip fields in spring, the Cascades on clear days, and the warm agricultural character of this region give us exceptional material to work with for couples who want a Pacific Northwest wedding rooted in the land.

Woodburn Wedding Tips
Tulip Season Timing
The Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival runs late March through late April depending on bloom. If you are planning a spring wedding in the Woodburn area, confirm peak bloom dates with the farm — a ceremony surrounded by 40 acres of tulips with Mt. Hood in the background is extraordinary.
Silver Falls Portrait Session
Silver Falls State Park's Trail of Ten Falls is a 7.2-mile loop with ten waterfall crossings. For a day-after portrait session, hire a guide and plan 3 hours — the results are among the most dramatic waterfall portraits available anywhere in Oregon.
Mt. Angel Oktoberfest Conflict
Mt. Angel Oktoberfest runs the second week of September and draws 350,000 visitors to a very small town. All lodging within 30 miles books out during this period. Plan around it or embrace it — either way, confirm accommodations well in advance.
Cascade Views on Clear Days
On clear days, Mt. Hood, Mt. Jefferson, and the Three Sisters are visible from higher points in the Silverton Hills. Plan portrait timing for mornings before afternoon clouds build if mountain backdrops are a priority.

Woodburn Wedding Videography FAQ
How much does a luxury wedding videographer cost in Woodburn?
Every Film House Weddings package is custom built for the couple, the venue, and the wedding day — we do not publish flat pricing because no two luxury weddings are the same. Pricing scales with coverage hours, team size, deliverables, and travel. Reach out through our Connect page and we will build a proposal tailored to your wedding.
Are you based near Woodburn?
Yes. Film House Weddings is based in Portland, just 30 minutes from Woodburn. We serve the entire northern Willamette Valley with no travel fee.
How far in advance should we book our Woodburn wedding videographer?
We recommend booking 9 to 14 months in advance for peak season dates. Spring tulip season weddings at the Wooden Shoe Farm require particularly early booking as the venue operates only during festival season.
What is included in a wedding film package?
We build a custom package for every couple based on your vision and your wedding day. Typically, every client receives a 5 to 7 minute cinematic wedding film and a reel. Our team works directly with your planner and photographer to ensure seamless coverage from getting ready through the last dance.
Do you work with our photographer and wedding planner?
Absolutely. Coordination with your vendor team is a core part of our process. We work directly with your planner and photographer before and during the wedding day to make sure everyone is in sync and no moment is missed.
Can we film a portrait session at Silver Falls State Park?
Yes. Silver Falls State Park is one of our favorite portrait locations in the Willamette Valley. Oregon State Parks requires a photography permit for commercial work — we handle all permit logistics as part of your package preparation.
Do you offer drone coverage for Woodburn weddings?
Yes. Drone coverage is available as an add-on where airspace rules permit. Aerial footage over the tulip fields with Mt. Hood in the background is extraordinary during bloom season. We coordinate all permits ahead of your wedding day.
How long until we receive our wedding film?
Delivery timelines are discussed during the proposal stage and depend on the season and edit scope. Expedited delivery is available if you need your film sooner — let us know during the booking conversation and we will build a timeline that works for you. Final films are delivered digitally via a private link.
Do you provide raw footage?
Raw footage is available on request as an add-on. Most couples do not request it — our edited cinematic film, reel, and optional full ceremony and speeches edit capture everything that matters. If raw footage is important to you, let us know during the proposal conversation and we will include it in your custom package.
What is the best time of year to get married near Woodburn?
Spring (late March through May) is extraordinary for tulip and iris blooms. Summer and early fall are the most reliably dry. Mt. Angel Oktoberfest weekend in mid-September fills every hotel in the region — plan around it.
