Wedding Videography in Jacksonville

Jacksonville is one of Oregon's most extraordinary small towns — a National Historic Landmark with every building on the main street dating to the Gold Rush era, a walkable grid of Victorian storefronts and brick buildings that have changed remarkably little since the 1880s. The annual Britt Festivals bring classical and popular music to the town's historic pear orchard amphitheater each summer, drawing audiences from across the region.

The surrounding Applegate Valley wine country has developed into one of Southern Oregon's most promising wine regions, with a constellation of boutique wineries and vineyard estates that provide wedding settings with genuine agricultural character. A few miles east, Medford's airport makes Jacksonville surprisingly accessible despite its remote-feeling quality.

Film House Weddings travels to Jacksonville and the Rogue Valley from our Portland base. Southern Oregon's warm afternoon light, rolling wine country, and Gold Rush architectural backdrop create wedding films with a visual richness that is genuinely distinctive — different in character from anything north of the Siskiyous.

Jacksonville Wedding Tips

Britt Festivals Calendar

The Britt Festivals run June through September and use the historic Jacksonville grounds as their primary venue. If you want the Britt grounds for your wedding, work directly with their event team well in advance — the calendar fills months ahead for summer dates.

Southern Oregon Summer Heat

Jacksonville and the Rogue Valley can reach 95–100°F on July and August afternoons. Schedule outdoor ceremonies for late afternoon (after 5 PM) when temperatures drop and the light turns golden. Have water, shade, and fans available for guests.

Rogue Valley Wine Pairing

The Applegate Valley and Rogue Valley wine scene has matured significantly. Building a wine tasting or winery visit into your rehearsal dinner or post-wedding brunch is a natural extension of the Jacksonville experience and makes for great video content.

Medford Airport Access

Medford-Rogue Valley International Airport (MFR) has direct flights from Portland, Seattle, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. This makes Jacksonville genuinely accessible as a destination event for guests flying in — a real advantage over more remote Southern Oregon settings.

Jacksonville Wedding Videography FAQ

Do you travel to Jacksonville for weddings?

Yes. Film House Weddings is based in Portland and travels to Jacksonville and the Rogue Valley for weddings. Southern Oregon is one of our favorite destinations — the light, the architecture, and the wine country create wedding films with a completely distinctive character. Travel fees apply and will be included in your proposal.

How much does a wedding videographer cost in Jacksonville, Oregon?

Every Film House Weddings package is custom built for the couple, the venue, and the wedding day. We do not publish flat pricing because no two luxury weddings are the same. Reach out through our Connect page and we will build a proposal tailored to your Jacksonville wedding.

How far in advance should we book for a Jacksonville wedding?

We recommend booking 12 to 18 months in advance, especially if you want the Britt Festival grounds or the Jacksonville Inn. Southern Oregon's premium venues have limited availability.

What is included in a wedding film package?

We build a custom package for every couple based on your vision and your wedding day. Typically, every client receives a 5 to 7 minute cinematic wedding film and a reel. Our team works directly with your planner and photographer to ensure seamless coverage from getting ready through the last dance.

Do you work with our photographer and wedding planner?

Absolutely. Coordination with your vendor team is a core part of our process. We work directly with your planner and photographer before and during the wedding day to make sure everyone is in sync and no moment is missed.

Have you filmed at the Britt Festival grounds and Applegate Valley venues?

Yes. We have filmed in Jacksonville and the surrounding Rogue Valley. The historic character of the town and the wine country backdrop create something genuinely distinctive on film.

Do you offer drone coverage for Jacksonville weddings?

Yes. Drone coverage is available as an add-on. The Rogue Valley from above — wine country, the Table Rocks, and Jacksonville's historic grid — is beautiful. Drone usage is coordinated ahead of time with your venue and local airspace rules.

How long until we receive our wedding film?

Delivery timelines are discussed during the proposal stage and depend on the season and edit scope. Expedited delivery is available if you need your film sooner — let us know during the booking conversation and we will build a timeline that works for you. Final films are delivered digitally via a private link.

Do you provide raw footage?

Raw footage is available on request as an add-on. Most couples do not request it — our edited cinematic film, reel, and optional full ceremony and speeches edit capture everything that matters. If raw footage is important to you, let us know during the proposal conversation and we will include it in your custom package.

What makes Jacksonville unique as a wedding destination?

Jacksonville is the most historically intact Gold Rush town in Oregon — a National Historic Landmark where every storefront and Victorian house tells a story. Combined with the Britt Festival's ancient pear tree grounds and the surrounding Applegate Valley wine country, it offers a wedding setting with genuine depth of character that no resort can replicate.
