Atlanta is a city of extraordinary contrasts — a modern Southern metropolis where gleaming glass towers rise above neighborhoods of antebellum homes and garden estates. The wedding scene here reflects that range beautifully: grand Buckhead ballrooms within miles of intimate Decatur lofts, Midtown venues with rooftop skyline views beside Roswell's historic mill district, and private estates in Marietta and Milton where the Georgia countryside opens up into something pastoral and timeless.
Spring and fall are Atlanta's finest wedding seasons. March through May brings the legendary Dogwood Festival bloom — entire neighborhoods carpeted in white and pink blossoms that transform portrait settings. October delivers a warm, amber light and cooler temperatures that make outdoor ceremonies genuinely comfortable. Atlanta summers are hot and humid, but the city's abundance of indoor luxury venues makes year-round weddings entirely viable.
Film House Weddings brings cinematic precision to every Atlanta wedding, reading the light in a Buckhead garden, the drama of a Midtown rooftop at dusk, and the quiet intimacy of a candlelit historic home. Whatever setting your celebration calls for, we are there with the craft and storytelling to honor it fully.

Atlanta Wedding Tips
Spring Dogwood Season Is Magical
Atlanta's Dogwood Festival typically runs in early April and coincides with one of the most beautiful stretches of the wedding calendar. Inman Park, Ansley Park, and Buckhead neighborhoods are blanketed in blooms — if your date lands here, use the neighborhoods as portrait backdrops.
Atlanta Traffic Is Real
Build significant buffer time into your transportation plan. I-285 and I-75/85 can grind to a stop on Saturday evenings. Plan vendor arrival windows generously and arrange shuttles for guests staying in different parts of the metro.
Indoor Backup Is Non-Negotiable in Summer
Atlanta summers bring heat, humidity, and afternoon thunderstorms. If any part of your celebration is outdoors between June and August, confirm a weather contingency plan with your venue before you sign.
Buckhead vs. Midtown vs. Intown
Each Atlanta neighborhood has a distinct personality. Buckhead is formal and estate-driven, Midtown is sleek and urban, intown neighborhoods like Decatur and Grant Park are creative and eclectic. Choose a venue whose character matches the story you want your wedding film to tell.

Atlanta Wedding Videography FAQ
How much does a luxury wedding videographer cost in Atlanta?
Every Film House Weddings package is custom built for the couple, the venue, and the wedding day — we do not publish flat pricing because no two luxury weddings are the same. Pricing scales with coverage hours, team size, deliverables, and travel. Reach out through our Connect page and we will build a proposal tailored to your Atlanta wedding.
Do you travel for weddings to Atlanta?
Yes. Film House Weddings travels throughout the Southeast for weddings. Atlanta's diverse range of venues — from Buckhead estates and the Fox Theatre to North Georgia countryside resorts — offers a wealth of cinematic settings. Travel fees may apply — reach out and we will provide full details.
How far in advance should we book our Atlanta wedding videographer?
We recommend booking 9 to 15 months in advance for Atlanta weddings. Spring (March–May) and fall (September–November) are the most sought-after seasons, and popular venues and vendors in the metro book well ahead of those dates.
What is included in a wedding film package?
We build a custom package for every couple based on your vision and your wedding day. Typically, every client receives a 5 to 7 minute cinematic wedding film and a reel. Our team works directly with your planner and photographer to ensure seamless coverage from getting ready through the last dance.
Do you work with our photographer and wedding planner?
Absolutely. Coordination with your vendor team is a core part of our process. We work directly with your planner and photographer before and during the wedding day to make sure everyone is in sync and no moment is missed.
Which Atlanta venues have you filmed at?
We film at venues throughout metro Atlanta and Greater Georgia — from the Swan House and Fox Theatre to Serenbe, Barnsley Resort, and Roswell's historic mill district. New venues are always scouted ahead of your wedding day.
Do you offer drone videography for Atlanta weddings?
Yes. Drone coverage is available as an add-on for Atlanta weddings. Estate properties outside the city and North Georgia countryside venues are particularly stunning from above. Airspace coordination near Hartsfield-Jackson requires advance planning — we handle all of it.
How long until we receive our wedding film?
Delivery timelines are discussed during the proposal stage and depend on the season and edit scope. Expedited delivery is available if you need your film sooner — let us know during the booking conversation and we will build a timeline that works for you. Final films are delivered digitally via a private link.
Do you provide raw footage?
Raw footage is available on request as an add-on. Most couples do not request it — our edited cinematic film, reel, and optional full ceremony and speeches edit capture everything that matters. If raw footage is important to you, let us know during the proposal conversation and we will include it in your custom package.
Will you provide a second shooter for our Atlanta wedding?
Our standard Atlanta package includes a two-person team covering both partners through getting ready, the ceremony, portraits, and reception. Additional shooters are available for larger celebrations or multi-venue days across the metro.
