Asheville sits in a bowl of mountains at the confluence of two rivers, surrounded by the ancient peaks of the Blue Ridge. It is a city of rare creative energy — one part Gilded Age grandeur, one part bohemian craft culture, unified by a landscape that seems designed to inspire. The Biltmore Estate alone places Asheville in an entirely different category of wedding destination: there is simply nothing else like it in America, a 178,926-square-foot French Renaissance château on an 8,000-acre working estate.
Beyond Biltmore, Asheville offers a remarkable range of wedding settings — mountain lodge retreats along the Blue Ridge Parkway, intimate farm venues in the river valleys below Black Mountain, art deco ballrooms in the heart of downtown, and private mountain estates with views that stretch into Tennessee. The elevation keeps summer temperatures comfortable when the rest of the South swelters, making June, July, and August genuinely pleasant for outdoor ceremonies.
Film House Weddings is drawn to places where the natural world becomes part of the story. In Asheville, the mountains are always present — in the background of a vineyard ceremony, in the mist rising off the French Broad at dawn, in the painted light of a Blue Ridge sunset. We capture all of it with the intentionality and craft your celebration deserves.

Asheville Wedding Tips
October Is Peak for a Reason
Fall foliage in the Blue Ridge peaks in mid-to-late October and draws enormous crowds. If your wedding falls during peak leaf season, book accommodations for your guests 12+ months out and communicate travel instructions early. The payoff in color and light is extraordinary.
Mountain Weather Is Unpredictable
Asheville's elevation means weather can shift quickly — plan a solid rain contingency for any outdoor ceremony. Many mountain venues have covered pavilions or a clear-span tent option; confirm this with your venue before signing.
Biltmore Requires Early Planning
Biltmore Estate has limited wedding dates per year and requires booking through their dedicated events team. Dates frequently book 18 to 24 months in advance. If Biltmore is your dream venue, start that conversation first.
Blue Ridge Parkway Portraits
The Blue Ridge Parkway offers overlook points with views into three states — breathtaking for portraits. Confirm access with the National Park Service and plan portrait timing around the 45 minutes before sunset for the most dramatic light.

Asheville Wedding Videography FAQ
How much does a luxury wedding videographer cost in Asheville?
Every Film House Weddings package is custom built for the couple, the venue, and the wedding day — we do not publish flat pricing because no two luxury weddings are the same. Pricing scales with coverage hours, team size, deliverables, and travel. Reach out through our Connect page and we will build a proposal tailored to your Asheville wedding.
Do you travel for weddings to Asheville?
Yes. Film House Weddings travels throughout the Southeast for weddings. Asheville's mountain estates, the Biltmore Estate, and the Blue Ridge Parkway corridor offer some of the most visually extraordinary wedding settings in the country. Travel fees may apply — reach out and we will provide full details.
How far in advance should we book our Asheville wedding videographer?
We recommend booking 12 to 18 months in advance for Asheville weddings, especially for fall foliage season (October) and Biltmore Estate events. Western North Carolina's luxury wedding market has grown significantly and the best vendors book well in advance.
What is included in a wedding film package?
We build a custom package for every couple based on your vision and your wedding day. Typically, every client receives a 5 to 7 minute cinematic wedding film and a reel. Our team works directly with your planner and photographer to ensure seamless coverage from getting ready through the last dance.
Do you work with our photographer and wedding planner?
Absolutely. Coordination with your vendor team is a core part of our process. We work directly with your planner and photographer before and during the wedding day to make sure everyone is in sync and no moment is missed.
Which Asheville venues have you filmed at?
We film at venues throughout Asheville and Western North Carolina — from Biltmore Estate and the Grove Park Inn to mountain lodge retreats, downtown ballrooms, and private estates along the Blue Ridge Parkway. New-to-us venues are always scouted ahead of your wedding day.
Do you offer drone videography for Asheville weddings?
Yes. Drone coverage is available as an add-on for Asheville weddings. Mountain terrain and estate properties around Asheville are stunning from above. We handle all airspace coordination and confirm access with venues and the National Park Service where applicable.
How long until we receive our wedding film?
Delivery timelines are discussed during the proposal stage and depend on the season and edit scope. Expedited delivery is available if you need your film sooner — let us know during the booking conversation and we will build a timeline that works for you. Final films are delivered digitally via a private link.
Do you provide raw footage?
Raw footage is available on request as an add-on. Most couples do not request it — our edited cinematic film, reel, and optional full ceremony and speeches edit capture everything that matters. If raw footage is important to you, let us know during the proposal conversation and we will include it in your custom package.
Will you provide a second shooter for our Asheville wedding?
Our standard Asheville package includes a two-person team. For Biltmore Estate weddings or larger multi-location celebrations in the mountains, additional shooters are available as an add-on confirmed during the proposal stage.
